Boutique gyms look expensive because of a few deliberate design choices, not because every item costs a fortune. These 12 budget home gym decor ideas that look surprisingly luxury borrow those tricks so your training space feels premium for a fraction of the price.
| Item | Why it works |
|---|---|
| Floor | Black rubber tiles instead of carpet |
| Walls | Dark paint or a DIY slat panel |
| Light | LED strips for a boutique glow |
| Mirror | A large frameless mirror |
| Styling | White towels, plants and matching kit |
Tip: Fix slat walls and mirrors into studs or masonry with appropriate fixings, and use safety-film or safety-backed mirrors. Use LED strips designed for the job with a correctly rated driver, keep electrics away from sweat and spills, and keep heavy weights low on sturdy racks.
